From 2009 to 2012, she led WHO activities to protect children from environmental risks and worked for 12 years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she founded and directed the Department of Air Pollution and Respiratory Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lecture is part of the event program \"<strong>Internationalizes UFRJ 2030<\/strong>\", which this Friday, May 12, brings together at the Museu do Amanh\u00e3 international scientists and researchers from the institution who developed work abroad to discuss topics such as sustainability and inequalities. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free. Simultaneous translation will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Museu do Amanh\u00e3, the pediatrician will also speak about the effects of exposure to air pollution on the incidence of diseases in children.
